AI Tagging

AI Tagging Overview

With the Strike Force Wireless app and compatible cellular cameras, there are two types of AI Tagging available. This article explains the differences between Subscription Based AI Tagging and Device AI Tagging.

Subscription Based AI Tagging

Some Strike Force Wireless subscription plans include AI Tagging functionality. When a cellular camera is placed on a subscription that includes AI Tagging and AI Tagging is enabled, images transmitted by the camera are analyzed by our system and tagged if they meet the confidence threshold for one of the following categories:

  • Bear
  • Deer
  • Person
  • Pig
  • Turkey
  • Vehicle

Once processed, qualifying images will display the appropriate AI tag within the Strike Force Wireless app.

The availability of AI Tagging depends on the subscription plan assigned to the camera. Users with qualifying subscriptions can enable AI Tagging within the Strike Force Wireless app in the cameras Features.

Device AI Tagging

Certain camera models include onboard AI Tagging directly within the camera itself. Currently, the following models support Device AI Tagging:

  • BTC-VPHD-AI
  • BTC-PSMHD-AI
  • BTC-VPHD-L

With Device AI Tagging enabled, the camera can identify and tag images that meet the confidence threshold for the following categories:

  • Bear
  • Deer
  • Person
  • Pig
  • Turkey
  • Vehicle

Users can configure how Device AI Tagging operates within the Strike Force Wireless app in the cameras Features.

Upload All Images

When Upload All Images is enabled, the camera will transmit all captured images to the app. Any qualifying images will still receive the appropriate AI tag.

Upload Only Selected Tags

Users can also disable Upload All Images and select specific AI tags to control which images are transmitted to the app.

For example, a user could choose to only upload images tagged as:

  • Deer
  • Turkey
  • Bear

When using this option, the camera continues operating normally in the field and will still trigger for all events within the detection zone. All captured images are still saved locally to the SD card. However, only images matching the selected AI tag(s) will be transmitted through the cellular network to the Strike Force Wireless app.

This feature can help reduce unnecessary image transmissions while focusing on the wildlife or activity most important to the user.

Possible AI Tag Matches

Please note that AI Tagging is based on confidence thresholds and image analysis. In some situations, objects, animals, or people that appear visually similar may also trigger a tag match.

Possible matches for each tag may include:

Vehiclevehicle, car, truck, van, bus, train, motorcycle, bicycle, bike
Pigpig, hog, rodent, beaver

Note: AI Tagging is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate in all environments or lighting conditions. Factors such as image quality, distance, weather, obstructions, and animal positioning may impact tag results.
