Livestream Subscriptions: What You Need to Know

The Defender Vision Pro Livestream offers its own Livestream subscription plans. While all plans include:

  • Unlimited HD image transmissions
  • 12 video uploads per camera, per month
  • Access to On Demand and Livestream features

The key difference between subscription tiers lies in the amount of monthly livestream time and number of video saves permitted.

Note: If you add more than one Defender Vision Pro camera to your account, each camera receives its own separate allocation of livestream data. Livestream data is not shared across cameras, even within the same subscription.

Getting Started with Livestream

After adding your camera to your Strike Force Wireless account and successfully completing the cellular (LTE) test, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Strike Force Wireless app and navigate to the CAMERAS page.
  2. Tap your camera card to access its details.
  3. On the Features tab, toggle On Demand & Livestream to enable.

Note: Enabling these features will increase power consumption. Ensure your camera has a strong battery level or external power source for optimal performance.

Starting a Livestream

Once enabled, you’ll have access to the Livestream feature directly from the app:

  1. Tap START LIVESTREAM.
  2. A confirmation window will appear showing:
  • Available livestream minutes (from your subscription and any available add-on minutes)
  • Number of available video saves
  • An option to ADD MINUTES

      3. Tap CONTINUE to start the livestream.

Note: Under good conditions, the livestream typically begins in about 20 seconds.

During the Livestream

While livestreaming, you’ll see the following options and indicators:

SAVE VIDEO

  • Tap this at any time to save the entire video.
  • Maximum video length is 5 minutes.

STOP

  • Tap to end the livestream.
  • If you haven’t saved the video yet, you’ll be prompted with the option to do so within 15 seconds.

MINUTES METER

  • Displays your remaining livestream minutes as the stream progresses.

Note: Saved livestreams will only appear in the app’s Library. They are not saved to the camera’s onboard memory.

Subscription vs. Add-On Minutes

  • Subscription minutes are always used first.
  • Add-on minutes are only used when no subscription minutes remain.
  • Add-on minutes do not expire and are tied to the specific camera for which they were purchased.

Accessing Saved Livestreams

Once a livestream is saved:

  • The video will appear in the app’s Library, marked with a Livestream badge on the thumbnail.
  • Tap the thumbnail to view the saved livestream.

Please Note: The time it takes for a saved livestream to appear in your Library can vary depending on signal strength and video length.

TIPS:

  • For the best performance, always place your cellular trail camera in an area with the strongest possible signal. A strong signal not only ensures consistent photo and video transmission but also significantly improves the success rate of livestreaming.
  • If livestream attempts fail and the camera shows a battery level of 25% or lower, the first step in troubleshooting is to replace the batteries with a fresh set. Livestreaming requires additional power, and a battery at or below 25% may not provide enough energy for the connection to be established successfully.
