We recognize that many of our users may not need their cellular service year-round. In this article you can learn how to cancel a subscription by moving your camera Offline. This action will stop the cellular communication between the camera and the Strike Force Wireless app as well as the subsequent billing. Please review the important facts listed below and then follow the step-by-step instructions to complete this process.
- As there is no contract with any of our subscriptions you can cancel at any time.
- Your data is front loaded on your billing date for that month and proration is not used. This means if you cancel your subscription in the middle of a billing cycle you lose any remaining data and credit is not issued.
- We advise that you cancel your subscription 1 day before your next billing date if it is important that you use your data, as service will immediately stop for any camera you move Offline.
Where can I find my Next Bill Date in the Strike Force Wireless App?
Upon opening the app, you will go to the Menu and SUBSCRIPTIONS
Once on the SUBSCRIPTIONS page each subscription you have will be listed. In this subscription breakdown you can see how many days are left in the billing cycle.
How do I cancel my Subscription?
There are two ways a subscription can be cancelled; per camera or per a subscription as a whole. This section of the article will give step-by-step instructions on both.
By Camera
This method is advised if you only have one camera that you are cancelling the service for. This camera can be the only camera on a subscription or one of many on a subscription.
1. Locate the camera: Go to the SUBSCRIPTIONS page of the app. Once there locate the subscription the camera is on and press CAMERAS & USAGE. This will open the subscription details to show all cameras active under the subscription.
2. Locate the camera that you would like to cancel the service for and press the MANAGE CAMERA button.
3. When the CHANGE SUBSCRIPTION window opens scroll to the bottom where you will find MOVE OFFLINE; press this button.
4. A confirmation window will open in which you can cancel performing this task or MOVE OFFLINE to complete the task. Press the MOVE OFFLINE button to proceed with finalizing.
5. The camera will now be removed from the subscription (Note: If this was the only camera on a subscription the subscription will automatically remove itself from your app.) and has been marked as OFFLINE, this will reflect on the Cameras Page.
By Subscription
This method is advised if you wish to cancel the service for an entire subscription and all active cameras on the subscription.
1. Locate the subscription: Go to the SUBSCRIPTIONS page of the app. Once there locate the subscription and press MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION.
2. From the MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION page the subscription you are working with will be at the top of the list in grey. Inside of the subscription box in red you will see Cancel subscription, press this to cancel.
3. A confirmation window will open in which you can cancel performing this task or CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION to complete the task. Press the CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION button to proceed with finalizing.
4. The subscription will now be cancelled, and all cameras have been marked as OFFLINE and will reflect on the Cameras Page.
FINAL REMINDER
By performing either of the outlined actions above you have moved a camera or more than one camera OFFLINE. This means that for those cameras the cellular connection has immediately stopped, and the cameras will no longer transmit to or communicate with the Strike Force Wireless app in any way. This also means all billing for those cameras moving forward has stopped.
Please Note: All Browning Trail Cameras cellular cameras can be used as typical non-cellular cameras when they are not active on a subscription. You will just retrieve your images/videos from the SD card directly versus from the Strike Force Wireless app.
